Lee at Upcycled Creative works with upholstery, metal-working, electronics, lighting and textiles to fabricate and assemble bespoke pieces to suit a wide range of settings. He is driven by a desire to recycle and reuse furniture to breath another life into objects. Upcycled Creative also host bookable workshops in furniture making. Skills taught include painting, waxing, texture, distressing, decoupage and the more intricate techniques of metallics and special effects work.

Company History
Upcycled Creative was founded by Lee Richards in 2012 as a response to a gap in the market for refurbishing old furniture, and being environmentally friendly at the same time. By working in this way Lee has been able to find creative solutions to reusing household and vintage items. Turning items such as sewing machines, cameras, piping, kitchen appliances and decorations into outstanding lighting. Alongside this re-upholstering fabric furnishings with bespoke designs to suit a range of settings, giving vintage items a contemporary twist. This business is now based in the historic town of Wirksworth in Derbyshire, where it suits, and responds to its rich surroundings. Lee welcomes all customers to come and browse the ever changing displays in their studio, whilst also working with clients online to have an international reach.
