Company History
Al Fakher Pottery was established by Thomas K. Joseph in 1985, when he moved to the UAE from Kerala seeking new work. Since then, it has remained a family run business with his two sons taking over the day to day activities of the pottery factory. All of the master potters at Al Fakher hail from Kerala, India where they have been trained in the art of pottery making for many years. The resident master potter, Mr. Santosh Kumar, is renowned for mixing Indian and Arabic aesthetics, and is well known for creating many of the unique pottery styles that are sold in traditional markets all over the UAE.
