Production Specifics
Fiona hand dyes all of the fabric using the discharge method and each colour is individually mixed up. As all pieces are hand made this does mean that there can be a little variation between batches. Along side her own work, Fiona produces a lot of commercial printing using fabrics such as cashmere, lambswool and silk for independent fashion designers and larger companies.

Company History
Tessuti Scotland has been around since the mid-1980’s. Fiona originally set up the practice as she was keen to remain in Scotland and at the time as work was scarce in the local textile industry, becoming self-employed and setting up a studio was the most sensible way to do this. She’s now based in Leith, Edinburgh and produces printed and dyed textiles as well as small runs of hand-printed t-shirts for a variety of local designers and businesses, as well as some larger companies.
