Production Specifics
Uist Wool is currently underway with research & development at the Mill as part of the training project 'CALANAS' and have yet to launch our custom spinning service to the public. Skills include wool carding, spinning and plying. Typical clients are wool producers, craftspeople, textile designers and anyone interested in artisan yarns for specific projects. You don't need any previous knowledge but can come with an understanding of which service / process / machine / material is required. There will be a minimum kg weight for custom spinning wool but the final amount has yet to be confirmed.
