Production Specifics
Jamieson's provide Shetland tweed, yarns and bespoke knitwear from Shetland wool manufactured on site. This uses 100% Pure Shetland Wool yarns. Typical clients are everyone in the textile industry from designers to wholesalers and shop owners. Clients need to understand technical specifications of yarn and garment construction (e.g file types or quantities) and to understanding which service / process / machine / material is required. Ideally, people will come with ready-to-go drawings and files, technical specifications and a project timeline. have limited production space. Wool spinning capacity is approximately 800 kg per week.

Jamieson's Of Shetland are a family run business who started specialising in Shetland Wool in 1894. 5 Generations have moved the business forward which now run the only spinning mill in the Shetland Islands, a knitwear facility creating traditional fair Isle design garments as well as a small weaving department.
