Production Specifics

DCA Print Studio is a charitable status organisation, funded by Creative Scotland and Dundee City Council to support open-access production by users. This includes tuition in all processes and we run many workshops and courses. We can not accept commercial work or commissions, although we do work with charities and community groups. New users are required to undergo induction (with training if needed) and register for annual membership. This is £48.00 or £24.00 (concessionary). Session, technical assistance and equipment fees are then charged as applicable. For example, a full day session is £6.00 (a full price list is available on our website below). The equipment ranges from traditional printing presses to newer technology such as laser-cutting, CNC routing, vinyl-cutting and large format digital printing. We have two Risograph Printers and 10 colours. The two 3D Printers can print plastic (PLA and ABS) in many different colours.
