Production Specifics
Typical clients at A' Nead Knitwear often are people looking for a hand knitted lace shawl, wrap, stole or scarf which is a bit different. Bespoke christening shawls and bridal shawls are custom made. The production process involves sourcing local raw wool, which is often white and silver gotland or merino. This is then combed and carded, before being hand spun into yarn. There are a variety of colour blends possible and Jenny can also dye the yarn using the solar dying process (with natural extracts). No two items are ever the same and measurements are always approximate due to the nature of the materials. Customers should come with a timeframe in mind when producing a custom piece.

Company History
A'Nead Knitwear was set up because I wanted to provide an income doing something I really enjoy. I have been been doing this now for about 5 years using traditional and contemporary lace patterns, although the spinning is more recent.
